Boxme's RTO and RPO
Define
RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) are both critical metrics in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including for SaaS (Software as a Service) applications.
Announcement of Boxme's RTO and RPO information
Boxme has released the following information regarding its RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective):
1. RTO (Recovery Time Objective): Boxme has set its RTO at 8 hours. This means that in the event of an incident or loss of connectivity, we are committed to restoring systems and bringing services back online within a maximum of 8 hours.
2. RPO (Recovery Point Objective): We categorize incidents into different levels of severity:
- Application failure leading to failure to record subsequent data or respond with information to client partners: In this case, the maximum Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is 1 minute.
- Database infrastructure failure at risk of loss requiring restoration from real-time backup systems (Data Guard): In this case, the maximum RPO is 1 minute.
- Cloud datacenter (GCP/AWS) failure requiring restoration from backups: In this case, the maximum RPO is 24 hours.
Note: Our infrastructure operates on highly reliable cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
We have developed backup, recovery, and regular testing strategies to ensure that we meet the declared RTO and RPO objectives. Boxme is dedicated to providing stable and reliable services to our customers while minimizing downtime and data loss in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
